Congratulations Michael Lee along with collaborators Thais Menezes and Rudolf Oliveira (Federal University of Sao Paulo) and Julie Reisz (Univ of Colorado) for publishing a manuscript in JCI-Insight on the transpulmonary metabolomics in connective tissue disease pulmonary hypertension. By paired blood sampling from the pulmonary and radial arteries, at 4 different stages of exercise, we found evidence of net metabolite uptake and excretion from the pulmonary vessels which varied with exercise, such as net uptake of lactate in peak exercise in those with most advanced disease.
