Mr. Biruk Kassa, who joined our lab 6 years ago, is leaving our lab to attend UCSF Pharmacy School. Biruk started as an undergraduate worked when he was at UCDenver, and then received a post-baccalauraute diversity supplement to work in our lab. Biruk moved with us to UCSF 3 years ago. During his time in our lab, Biruk contributed to 13 papers including 2 as first author. We are sorry to see him go, are happy for his success in going to pharmacy school, and hope to have the opportunity to continue working with him in the future.
